A ciência francesa e a óptica dos corpos em movimento

Abstract

This work aims to discuss some aspects of French optical in lhe nineteen century. Our study will be centered on lhe influence of bodies motion on lhe light palh. We try to show that, allhough very significant in this research program, lhe French opticians have made few contributions to lhe study of lhe interation between luminous elher and moving matter. ln lhe final pari of this work, we make some considerations about lhe reasons of that.
