O pensamento científico-tecnológico no contexto de formação e desenvolvimento do capitalismo até o século XIX

Abstract

This article focuses on the building and development of scientific and technological thought on their relation with the evolution of social context. It takes methodological assumption that both, science and society, have some degree of mutual dependence. From early history, where the social context separated technique and science as dissimilar kinds of knowledge, to modem history, where their evolution seems to be finally together, this article reviews the transformations on the science-society relation on the scope of capitalism 's historical formation. This growing proximity is expressed on the routine of contemporary world, which cannot be explained without science. Science is now on the basis of the great changes of this end of century as one of the organizing elements of this process.
