Abstract

The occurrence of mutations in DNA is an important aspect in evolutive biology, with implications on many subjects including molecular biology. Thus, it’s very important to examine the historical and epistemological aspects involved in these subjects. In this work it is approached the importance of the random in evolution and the controversy of the directed mutations.
