Abstract

This Masters degree dissertation focuses on lhe knowledge about lhe stars as described by lhe Franciscan friar Bernardino de Sahagún in llis book Historia General de las cosas de Nueva Espa,ia. This knowledge called by Sahagún 'astrology' and 'astronomy' was completely connected wilh lhe religious mui magic Mesoamerican universe.
