Abstract

Space cooperation between Brazil and Ukraine has its origins in 1997, but it was from 2002 that cooperation gained momentum. The main advantage of this cooperation was the autonomous entry of Brazil and Ukraine into the profitable satellite launch market. Brazil has a launch base with a prime location near the equator and Ukraine has satellite launch technology. At the beginning of the 2000s the establishment of such cooperation had sufficient elements to be successful. Through the analysis of primary sources and secondary bibliography we seek to present a historical analysis of the factors that contributed to the constitution of this cooperation.
