Abstract

This article presents and analysis the development of the telegraph in Brazil from the 1870 to the end of Second Reign, it compares this period with the former period, from the begining ages of the telegraph introduction in Brazil, in 1852, to the end of Paraguai´s war, and analysis the telegraph in those two period. The aim of this investigation was to analysis politics and economics influence, national and international, that gave to Brazilian telegraph the features acquired in the end of Empire.
