We did a comparative analysis of Omar Catunda’s Curso de Análise Matemática with William Anthony Granville’s Differential and Integral Calculus, Luigi Fantappiè’s Curso de Análise Matemática and Jean Dieudonné’s Foundations of Modern Analysis in order to show how he particularly appropriated modern mathematical analysis and configured himself as important agent of the institutionalization of modern mathematics in Brazil.
