Abstract

This is a compared analysis of the projects for Brazilian agriculture transmitted by two entities of agronomy professionals in Brazil between 1930-1961: the Brazilian Society of Agronomy and the Agronomy Society from São Paulo. The research on the journals of the entities illustrates their main practical and provides its directing staff, giving intelligibility to both projects. While the leaders of BSA defended the state incentive to the exportable productive diversification, the agronomists from ASSP, articulated to the great industrial bourgeoisie from the state, proposed, in the early 1940’s, the industrialization of the agriculture, by means of agricultural industrial input, specially tractors.
