Abstract

The objective of this article is to discuss the spread of both the academic community and readership of daily newspapers, the idea of science and technology as essential elements for overcoming underdevelopment and dependency condition of Brazil, for the production of articles for newspapers of the engineer Rogério Cezar de Cerqueira Leite to the Folha de São Paulo, between September 1975 and June 1976, gathered in book entitled Technology and National Development. Cerqueira Leite’s essays approach Latin American Thought in Science, Technology and Society, and can be understood as publicizing pieces of your commitment with this perspective
